A Note From Our CEO to Our Valued Customers Regarding COVID-19

To All of Our Valued Customers,

As our friends and neighbors throughout the country deal with the impact of the Coronavirus, Rent One’s responsibilities during this time will be (1) to prioritize the health and well-being of all of our customers and team members, and (2) to support local government and health officials as they work to contain, treat and eliminate the COVID-19 virus from our local community.

During this trying time, our decisions will be guided by science-based information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention along with our vision and values to serve our clients. In response to this developing public health situation, we will be taking a series of steps intended to be precautionary, preventative and proactive.

For the foreseeable future, we will continue to closely monitor the Coronavirus situation and follow the guidance from leading government and health authorities. We will stay dedicated to our high standards for safety and cleanliness. If warranted, we will take additional precautions to ensure we are doing our best to protect you, our team members and the communities we serve.

While we all face this challenge together as neighbors and friends, we'll use this as an opportunity to evolve and improve the way you interact with Rent One. What We’re Doing to Care for Our Coworkers & Customers

Deliveries that require entry into a customer’s home will be limited. Should entering into a customer’s home prove necessary, Rent One team members will take the following steps:

  • Verify that no one in the home is exhibiting symptoms of or being tested for COVID-19, has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has been quarantined because of contact to someone with COVID-19.
    • If the answer is yes to any of the above, we will not deliver and will reschedule for a later date.
    • If the answer is no to all of the above, customers will be asked to remain at a safe distance from our delivery technicians during installation, a minimum of 6 feet.
  • If anyone in the home has a common cold or the seasonal flu, they will be politely asked to remain in another room, away from where our delivery technicians will be working.

As our friends and neighbors throughout the country deal with the impact of the Coronavirus, it is our responsibility to prioritize the health and well-being of all of our customers and team members.

Every Rent One employee has completed a training course detailing how to protect themselves and others from contracting the virus—inside and outside of the workplace.

We also recognize our team members may need to take time off to care for their children in the midst of school closures, and we are sensitive to their general concerns and stresses beyond that.

Coworkers exhibiting any cold or flu symptoms are required to stay home and encouraged to take advantage of our flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) Program.

Although we’re all in this together, an important key to beating this is ensuring we do all we can as individuals to limit the spread of this virus.

In response to this developing public health situation, all Rent One locations are taking a series of steps intended to be precautionary, preventative and proactive.

For starters, we have begun an exhaustive cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing process that includes every area where customers meet our team members and one another throughout the store, including:

  • entryways,
  • customer counters and kiosks,
  • team member work areas,
  • business offices,
  • sitting areas,
  • vehicles,
  • and inventory.

These cleaning procedures take place multiple times throughout our business day.

We are also offering an exclusive shopping hour to those most vulnerable to the Coronavirus. Contact your local Rent One store for more details.

Please note: In accordance with state orders, some of our showrooms are temporarily closed to the public. However, all Rent One locations have been permitted to continue supplying essential products upon customer request.



Rent One stores with open showrooms are making certain to:

  • allow no more than 5 people on the showroom floor at a time, including customers and coworkers,
  • ensure customers and coworkers are kept at least 6-feet apart,
  • email the customer a receipt or place it on the counter for the customer to pick up following all debt or credit transactions,
  • maintain cleaning standards outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,
  • make cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing supplies available to any customer who requests them during their visit.


Rent One stores with closed showrooms remain able to:

  • coordinate the service and return of items as requested by our clients,
  • fulfill orders made online and by phone for essential items,
  • answer questions via text, online chat and email,
  • take payments on active rental agreements curbside, by phone and online.
